More of Our Home

Enter through the front door of our home into our hall

Then at either side,

our Dinning Room

and our Sitting Room

The front garden looks so pretty out of our lovely,
old Victorian bay window

I love this pretty mirror

So now you have seen some of the rooms downstairs.

More later!

I hope you are enjoying the tour.

I'm loving it and beginning to wonder why I'm selling!
I will tell you more about that later too!!!

Our Kitchen

There is something comforting about a kitchen table.

A place where so much happens,
the world gets put to right here,
over good food and a bottle of wine
a huge pot of tea!

Cooking, baking, chopping, preparing -

I love being in my kitchen.

Especially when my friends are round sitting at the island
chatting sharing a bottle of wine, a coffee or my favourite - a cocktail!
While I make some nibbles.

I adore having good friends in my kitchen!

Be Our Guest

Spring is such a lovely time in the garden with spring bulbs bursting into bloom,

but we have a special little visitor this year, and I'm so excited.

I put bird boxes all over the Wendy-House garden a few years back and they have just been ornaments until now.

Apart from an awful incident last year when a swarm of wasps decided to call one of them home - very unpleasant!

However this Spring I have been taking tea in the summer house and watching a darling little blue tit make one of our houses it's home.

I feel honoured!

Foodilicious - Julie and Julia

Mouthwatering movie!

If you have already had your fill of chocolate eggs and are looking for an alternative this Easter.......

Julie & Julia

is the most delicious piece of filmography!

If you love
a smattering of style
(not necessarily in that order)
you will LOVE this movie.

A definite flavour of Fanny Cradock!

Scenes from the sort of dinner party you definitely want to be invited to.

The images of Meryl's kitchen are just delightful.

I loved Meryl in Mama Mia and couldn't imagine she would be so utterly different in this role as Julia. She is surely one of our modern day screen greats.

Mesmerising images of fresh fish stalls without a single piece of shrink wrapped cod.

And finally, if you don't want to go straight home and make some bruschetta to eat with a good full bodied red wine......
well frankly, I'll eat my '1950's jaunty hat.'

Bon appetit
Happy Easter
