What a wonderful couple of days I have just had in Aberdeen.
I lived there many years back and had a ball, so it was nice to return to stay with friends and enjoy all this beautiful city had to offer!
Can't wait to return. :)

The Peanut Thief
This is Steven, always in the garden stealing the peanut's I put out for the birds. He is Chester's arch enemy, he sits looking down at him from the trees - and I'm sure he is laughing at him!
Poor old Chester exhausts himself barking at him, Steven just sits there with a cheeky glint in his eye.
It's so funny.
I try to dislike him for his part in wiping out the entire red squirrel community from my area - it's quite hard!!!
Vintage Scottish Pottery
This beautiful pottery jug has been hand made in Scotland, I'm really not sure of the date of this piece, all I know is the shape, colour and design are so lovely. It has slight imperfections due to the fact that it has been hand made. The gilt is slightly worn, due to it being used and loved I would imagine!
As always our wendy-house candle is organic and scented with charming old tea roses.

Summer House

My garden is where I love to be.
If I'm having a cup of tea or enjoying a book, one of my favourite places to be is in my summer house.
I even love being in there if it rains, there is just something about the sound of the rain on a roof.

Name that flower?

I love my garden and often buy things on impulse, these lovely blooms are gorgeous and I have been enjoying them for around a month now, but have no idea what they are.
It has a very delicate sweet smell.
Can anyone help?

Log Store

It's a warm feeling just looking at the log store filling up.
We have ignored the empty wood store all summer, but while the weather is still warm and family members are still happy to be outside doing chores - why not let them. :)
In my Garden

What a busy summer!
Life is always hectic here at the wendy-house, but I truly don't know where the summer is going.
My son Matthew is home from university, so naturally he has been put to work.
I know we don't really want to think about it, however winter will come around and our stoves and fires will need stoked.
There always seems to be trees needing felled somewhere in our garden and last years trees will be this winters burning logs for the fires and stoves in doors.
Once they are chopped and stored we can forget about them - until they are needed!!!
